31st July 2019

The summer holidays provide the perfect opportunity to get outside with friends and family and make the most of the lovely weather. They also provide an opportunity to get back to nature and some of our most basic locomotive functions. Following our family holiday to Norway and the spectacular hikes we went on, the latest FFA blog looked at the health benefits of walking and the opportunities that hiking provide. We also look back at a previous blog on outdoor activities. If walking isn't something that ignites a passion then there are plenty of other ways to keep fit by making the most of the great outdoors!

Yes, age is nothing but a number people say, so keep on moving and do what makes you tick.
To celebrate a milestone birthday, I wanted to give something back. Booked to take place on the 10th of August, I will be dropping into my 50th year with an accelerated free-fall (AFF) solo skydive. I will be doing this for a great cause - Help for Heroes, an appropriate charity. Please let me know if you would like more information or details about this and the reasons behind it. If you would like to support me in this then please visit my just giving page. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/roel-jansen?utm_campaign=pfp-share&utm_content=Roel-Jansen&utm_medium=fundraisingpage&utm_source=Facebook&utm_term=qj2qKegw7&fbclid=IwAR3FbWRE73NKOjPJoEsvC2VKg1WQhF4-mRdOyKzBgppoQRz0sPkfdp7TNyY

The deadline for charity funds to count with Skyline Events is 1 week before the skydive takes place, so the deadline is this Saturday, 3rd of August. It is a fantastic and exciting event for me, I am so close to my target!

On behalf of myself and all the soldiers helped by this fantastic charity - A massive thank you!!!!!

This is THE unique opportunity to earn a World Championship medal and it is up for grabs for anyone!!!!! The World Championships won't take place in The U.K. next year or in the foreseeable future, this is the year to take part. This event is called the "7km Individual Open" and will take place on Sunday 13th October. You may enter individually or as a team, be part of team FFA, so we can assist each other over the obstacles and have some fun. No qualification needed for this OPEN event! This events is scheduled after both the short (11th) and the standard (12th) of October. Expect quality and difficult world class obstacles on a muddy course which will take you about 2 hours to complete. Are you up for it? Please contact Roel for further details.

As ever, I look forward to continuing to work with you to keep you on track to achieve your goals.
